A sulphur-crested cockatoo is being fed by staff members of the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center after 106 of its species along with 26 Moluccan Cockatoos, 22 Black Palm Cockatoos, 105 Sugar Gliders, 2 Wallabys, 17 Black-Capped Lorikeets, 16 Rainbow Lorikeets, and 3 Baby Ostrichs, all are banned species, were rescued by the Environmental Crimes Division of the National Bureau of Investigation and Biodiversity Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources from a home in Pasay City where it will be sold in the Black Market last evening of March 12. All of the recovered animals are worth 5 Million to 10 Million pesos while the operation is considered to be the biggest rescue op of banned animals in the Philippines.
