A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Davao Occidental Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The earthquake, which occurred at 5:54 p.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 28 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
The tremor had a depth of 186 km.
Phivolcs said the quake was also felt under the following instrumental Intensities: Intensity IV: General Santos City; Intensity III: Kiamba, Alabel, and Malungon, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato; Intensity I – Kidapawan City and Koronadal City.
No damages were reported but aftershocks are possible.
