Various training courses will be offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were recently repatriated from China.
TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña said that OFWs can apply at TESDA Malasakit Helpdesk in international airports around the country.
“They can avail our free training courses on construction especially welding, electric installation and maintenance, and heavy equipment operation which are in-demand here and abroad,” he said.
The official also emphasized that the scholarship or free trainings are not only for repatriated OFWs from China, but also for OFWs from other countries.
“TESDA is always here to provide them with skills and job opportunities to uplift their living conditions. We have a ready program for returning and repatriated OFWs,” Lapeña added.
Over 30 Filipinos, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs have been brought back home and arrived Sunday morning in the Philippines.
