Chinese man had just gotten out of jail when he was killed in Taguig ambush

One of the victims in the daring afternoon ambush in Taguig City on Tuesday had just been released from the Metro Manila District Jail Annex 2 in Camp Bagong Diwa, police bared.

Taguig City Police Chief, Col. Celso Rodriguez, identified the fatalities as Yu Cao, 40; Wa Fan Hoi, 42, and Noel Olimba, 38.

The two girls who were with them were Crystal Zhang, 12; and Hazel Zhang, 5. They have been transferred to the Medical Center Taguig and have been declared out of danger as they recover from the wounds they sustained in the ambush.

The police chief said that they found the release paper for Cao, showing that he was just released from the Metro Manila District Jail Annex 2 in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City when the incident occurred in front of Gate 1, DOST Compound, Gen Santos Ave., Central Bicutan, Taguig City which is just near the police camp.

According to the report, the victims were onboard a black sedan when the suspects drove by them and shot the victims.

Rodriguez added that they will be acquiring closed circuit television (CCTV) footage from establishments in the area to track down the four motorcycle-riding suspects.

Based on police records, Cao was jailed for drug-related charges.
