VILLABA, Leyte – Residents of Barangay Inangatan in Tabango town in this province are now the beneficiaries of the newly completed 200-meter concrete farm-to-market road (FMR) constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways Leyte Third District Engineering Office (DPWH-LTDEO).
Leyte Rep. Vicente S.E. Veloso III told Manila Bulletin that the allocation of P1.9 million was spent on the project and was funded under General Appropriations Act-2019.
Veloso, a retired Court of Appeals justice, said that prior to the construction and concreting, the FMR was once sludgy and bumpy.
Veloso added that that presently, this newly completed concrete road benefits the residents of the said village especially local farmers.
Leyte Governor Leopoldo Dominico L. Petilla said the completed road will help improve the farmers’ agricultural productivity and reduce travel time and expenses in transporting agricultural products to the market.
Petilla added that it will also be advantageous to the commuting public in the area as this would provide them smooth and convenient travels.
