A 65-year old woman died while being evacuated from Talisay town, Batangas, the first reported fatality attributed to the Taal Volcano eruption.
The Office of Civil Defense-Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), identified the fatality as Anatalia Dionisio, who was reportedly being evacuated from her house in Talisay town on Monday when she suffered a heart attack.
Meanwhile, OCD-Calabarzon reported that 33, 383 people from 7, 863 families are currently staying in various evacuation centers in Batangas and Cavite.
There are 149 evacuation centers in Batangas and Cavite, including one in Tagaytay City which accommodates evacuees from two Batangas towns.
