3 suspects nabbed in Paranaque buy-bust op
Three persons were arrested by members of the Paranaque City police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in a buy-bust operation and confiscated from them 15.9 grams of shabu amounting to P108,120.00 Monday night.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Jimboy Delantero,32, of Sto. Nino St., Valley 2, San Antonio, Paranaque; Edward Agustin,30, of Barangay San Nicolas, Green valley, Bacoor Cavite and Rodel Labong,40, of 6764 Tramo St., Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City.
The suspects were arrested at about 10:30 p.m. along Sto. Nino St., Valley 2, Barangay San Isidro, Paranaque City.
Investigation showed that members of the SDEU conducted buy-bust operation for the arrest of the suspects allegedly engaged in selling of illegal drugs.
Confiscated from the suspects were 3 pieces of small heat sealed transparent sachet and two pieces of medium heat sealed transparent sachet both containing shabu weighing 15.9 grams amounting to P108,120.00.
Police said that confiscated items were brought at the Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
The suspects who were currently detained at the Paranaque City police station custodian facility will be facing charges for violation of Sec. 5 and 11, Art. 11 of RA 9165. (Jean Fernando)
Man shot dead in Taguig
A man on his way home was shot dead by an unidentified armed man in Taguig City Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Lorvie Gonzaga , 28, resident of ML Quezon St., Barangay Wawa, Taguig City.
Investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 1 in the morning along Cadena De Amor St., Barangay Wawa, Taguig City.
Police said that while the victim was walking on his way home the suspect suddenly appeared, blocked his way.
Armed with an unknown caliber of handgun, he shot the victim on the head and the body that resulted to his instantaneous death.
After the incident, suspect immediately fled to unknown direction bringing with him the weapon used.
Further investigation and information gathered from Barangay Wawa revealed that the victim is a known drug user, police said. (Dhel Nazario)
Man included in Novaliches police’s top 10 most wanted arrested
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives on Tuesday arrested a man included in the top 10 most wanted person of the Novaliches Police Station for attempted murder.
QCPD Director P/BGen Ronnie Montejo identified the suspect as Benjamin Bolival, 28, a member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgener, Queer (LGBTQ) community and a resident of 1 Duhat St., Area 5, Brgy. Capri Novaliches.
The police arrested Bolival on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rebecca Guillen- Ubana of the Quezon City Municipal Trial Court, Branch 32.
The suspect was apprehended at around 4:30 a.m. at the corner of Quirino Highway and Sarmiento St. in Barangay Novaliches Proper.
The suspect may gain temporary liberty after posting a P36,000 bail. (Chito Chavez)
