Just a few days before Christmas, a lone Super Lotto 6/49 bettor won over P15 million during Thursday night’s draw.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winning combination was 47-04-02-31-29-07.
It had a total jackpot of P15, 840, 000, which will be subjected to 20 percent tax in accordance with the TRAIN Law.
The government will get P3, 168, 000.
The winner will therefore be given a total of P12, 672, 000.
The PCSO has yet to disclose where the lucky ticket was purchased.
To claim his/her cheque, the bettor must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City, and present two IDs. Also, he/she should bring the winning ticket.
PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma urged the public to keep on patronizing the products of PCSO as a large chunk of its revenue goes to its charity program.
“I am appealing to everyone to keep on patronizing PCSO products. When you buy a ticket, think of it as giving charity to our poor kababayans,” she said.
“It is giving charity with a chance of becoming a millionaire. Many people in dire need will be helped because of your generosity,” Garma added.
