“We continuously increase the level of competitiveness of our graduates, this is one way to meet our strategy of producing globally competitive workforce. This competition also allows TESDA to ensure we are empowering those in the lower strata of society. This reflects social equity in our TVET delivery,” Lapeña said during the awarding ceremony in Kor-Phil Training Center, Davao City.
In total, 204 competitors from the 17 regions participated in the Luzon and VisMin Zonal Skills Competition held last November 6-10 and November 20-24, hosted by the TESDA-NCR and TESDA – Region XII, respectively.
