Cops catch students with suspected marijuana in Taguig sting

Three students were apprehended by joint anti-narcotics operatives after a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Tuesday night.

The three were identified by police as Lance Gabriel Visco, 20; Jessie Jay Pullente, 19; and  France Junnifer Monta, 19.

Investigation showed that the three were arrested around 8 p.m. along Sampaloc St., Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City.

Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a sting operation that resulted in the arrest of the three students.

Recovered from the students were eight pieces of resealable transparent plastic sachets containing dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, and one plastic bag containing dried leaves and stems suspected to be marijuana with a combined weight of more or less 100 grams with estimated street value of P12,000.

Police operatives also recovered three glass tubes and one bamboo stick, all with traces of suspected marijuana.

They also seized a lighter, a small plastic container, one pack of empty resealable transparent plastic sachets, a mobile phone, a Hyundai Getz vehicle, and the P500 buy-bust money.

The seized items believed to be marijuana will be turned over to Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis. The three students have been turned over to the Taguig Custodial Jail of Taguig City Police. (Dhel Nazario)

Minor with P120K worth of shabu arrested in Taguig

Station anti-drug operatives arrested a 17-year-old during a anti-criminality operation in Taguig City on Tuesday night.

Police arrested “Daniel,” a resident of N.P. Cruz St., Barangay Ususan, Taguig City, around 10 p.m. along Kalayaan St., Barangay Ususan, Taguig City.

Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) personnel were conducting an anti-criminality and validation operation when they chanced upon Daniel in possession of illegal drugs suspected to be shabu (methamphetamine).

They recovered two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 17.7 grams with an estimated value of P120,360.

They also seized a mobile phone, a sling bag, three one-hundred peso bills, two fifty-peso bills, and five twenty-peso bills.

The seized items suspected to be shabu were turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis. “Daniel” is now detained at the Taguig City Police Station Custodial Facility – Main for proper disposition. (Dhel Nazario)

Suspected shabu pusher shoots it out with cops, ends up injured

An alleged drug personality was injured after shooting it out with joint anti-narcotics police during a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa City on Tuesday night.

The suspect, identified as Danilo Tagle, sustained a lone gunshot wound and was brought to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa for treatment.

Investigation showed that the operation was launched around 6:10 p.m. at Soldiers Hill, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.

According to police, the members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) together with operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted the buy-bust operation.

The operation led to an armed encounter that injured Tagle. He was rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa for medical treatment and after he was discharged, the arresting officers immediately brought him to the crime laboratory for procedural examination.

Police recovered from the scene seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine) weighing more or less 11 grams, with an estimated value of P74,800.

They also lifted from the scene one caliber .38 firearm, one caliber .38 fired cartridge,  four pieces of live ammunition, and the P500 buy-bust money. (Dhel Nazario)
