This was announced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), which gave the DPWH clearance to continue such activities.
The agency said three sections of EDSA will be subjected to repair by DPWH, namely the southbound direction from Camp Crame Gate to Annapolis Street, beside MRT; after Muñoz to Bansalangin Street, 1st lane from sidewalk; and at the northbound direction after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk.
In Quezon City, MMDA said road rehabilitation works will cover the southbound direction of G. Araneta from Bayanin Road intersection; at the westbound direction of Quirino Highway from Nightingale to Zabarte Road, inner lane; and General Luis Street from Samonte Street to SB Diversion Road.
The other areas in Quezon City are at the eastbound direction of Elliptical Road after Maharlika Street, 6th lane from outer sidewalk; and at the northbound direction of Katipunan Avenue/Circumferential Road 5 (C5) from after C.P. Garcia Street, in front of U.P. Town Center, truck lane; A. Bonifacio Avenue near Marvex Drive, 2nd lane from sidewalk; Congressional Avenue Extension from corner Luzon Avenue, 2nd lane from center island; and from Tandang Sora Avenue, truck lane; and Luzon Avenue before Congressional Avenue Extension, 1st lane from center island.
According to MMDA, the other road section that is set for reblocking maintenance includes the northbound direction of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard after Magsaysay Bridge going to Quiapo, inner lane.
Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago, MMDA spokesperson, advised motorists to utilize alternate routes near the said areas.
