Some P170 million worth of shabu was seized from two Chinese and two Filipinos in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Quezon City on Tuesday.
Arrested during the separate drug busts were Liu Fu Gui, his cohorts Keith Romo, a call center programmer, and Nonito Garlindo, a gasoline boy, and 45-year-old Hongbo He, from Mariveles, Bataan.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) and Quezon City Police District’s Masambong Police Station nabbed Liu and Romo and Garlindo in a drug sting at Sta. Catalina Street in Barangay Sienna.
An undercover PDEA agent transacted with the group around 4:30 p.m. and seized from them 10 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P68,000.
Also recovered from them were a red Mitsubishi Galant with plate number UDJ 276, and a red Honda Civic with plate number WPD 697.
Agents from PDEA-NCR and QCPD’s Kamuning Police Station (PS-10) collared Hongbo, a Chinese businessman, in another buy-bust in front of Quezon Heritage House at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Hongbo yielded 15 kilos of shabu worth P102 million and a gray Toyota Grandia.
The arrested suspects are now under police custody and will be facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the confiscated pieces of evidence were turned over to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office.
