In observance of October as Holy Rosary month, the Diocese of San Carlos in Negros Occidental will hold a procession of the image of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary for the whole month.
Diocese of San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza said, it has been a tradition of the diocese to hold the “Aurora” every October in honor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
“The image of Our Lady is brought in a procession at 4 a.m. from the St. Charles Borromeo Cathedral Parish to the different parishes in the diocese,” the bishop said.
“The procession aims to encourage the faithful to be more active participants in Basic Ecclesial Communities for 30 days,” Alminaza said over Church-run Radio Veritas.
“The procession brings together the faithful from all walks of life, young and old alike, in a dawn procession in honor of the Blessed Mother for a whole month,” he added.
The Diocese of San Carlos has about 900,000 Catholics with 80 priests and 33 parishes.
