Mapua University’s Intramuros and Makati campuses were rocked by a bomb threat Thursday morning.
The university’s official publication, The New Builder, first reported the news of the bomb scare.
Manila Police District’s (MPD) Explosive and Ordinance Division (EOD) said members of Mapua Student Council received a bomb threat message around 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 19.
Students, professors, and other personnel were advised to vacate the school premises as a precaution.
Classes in both campuses were suspended.
“Today will be considered as a DIGITAL DAY. All classes will be conducted online,” the university announced on its official Twitter page.
At 11:30 a.m., MPD-EOD declared that no explosives were found on the campus. (With a report from Erma Edera)
