Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has warned city residents of a social media post he considered as “fake news” that seemingly aimed to discredit him.
They have again began their fake news campaign),” Sotto said in a Facebook post.
Sotto shared on social media a screenshot of a post which claimed that the 30-year-old mayor has knowledge of the alleged anomalous contract on garbage collection.
Kung sino ang mananalo sa public bidding (Do you know who will be the next garbage contractor in Pasig? Whoever wins the public bidding),” Sotto stressed.
Talaga ba? Final answer na ba nila ‘to? (It’s just funny that they seem to be wanting to recall things, Really? Is this their final answer?)” asked Sotto, who oftentimes avoided taking a swipe to his political opponents.
We are trying to ‘move on’ already, for the sake of everyone. But if they continue to try poisoning the minds of others with their lies),” Sotto said, leaving his sentence hanging.
The millennial mayor ended his post with hashtags “#DesperateMoves” and “#ReportTheTrolls.”
