An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) reportedly fell to her death while cleaning a window at the fourth floor of a building in Milan, Italy Tuesday morning.
The fatality was identified as Marilou Ganitnit Reyes, 54, who reportedly lost her balance and fell 30 meters from the fourth floor of her employer’s residence.
A television report disclosed that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is already coordinating with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) to seek help from the authorities in Milan to probe the incident.
Other reports said Reyes was alone in the house as her employers were in Greece when the incident happened.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is ready to act should a foul play is involved, the report added.
The DOLE will also assist in the repatriation of Reyes’ remains.
