A former reality show contestant, who was engaged in a fistfight inside a bar, was arrested after he tried to bribe the policemen apprehending him in Makati City early Saturday morning.
Actor Karlos Lorenzo “Kenzo” Gutierrez, 22, was collared by Makati policemen at a bar located along Pasong Tamo in Barangay Magallanes, Makati around 1:20 a.m., a police report said.
Gutierrez was a former contestant of ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother in its teen edition in 2015. In the show, he was tagged as the “Astig Athlete ng Quezon City.”
Major Gideon Ines Jr., Makati Police Investigation Unit chief, said Gutierrez reportedly resisted arrest, and even tried to bribe the policemen trying to apprehend him,
“Our policemen were offered P2, 000 each. They were about to arrest him as he was engaged in a fight inside a bar,” Ines told the Manila Bulletin.
Gutierrez, according to responding policemen, cursed at them as they were trying to pacify him.
“He reportedly kept on cursing at our policemen. He was very unruly,” he said.
The young actor even reportedly challenged the policemen into a fistfight.
Gutierrez was reportedly very drunk when the incident transpired.
“He was very wasted when he arrived here at the police station,” Ines said.
The former PBB housemate is currently held at the Makati police headquarters’ detention cell.
