“Application forms are available for download as early as now,” Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said.

He said downloading the necessary forms ahead of time will help speed up the registration process.

“We encourage everyone to download registration forms already to hasten their applications,” said Jimenez.

In Resolution No. 10549, the Comelec said application forms may be downloaded from their website, printed in a long bond paper, and filled up in three copies.

Applicants may also access the Online Application Form from the same website, electronically fill up, and print in three copies.

The poll body, however, reminded applicants that they should personally file the forms at the Office of the Election Officer or satellite registration site in the locality where the registrant resides to have their biometrics data taken.

Applications may be filed from Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M starting August 1, 2019 until September 30, 2019.

Based on COMELEC Resolution No. 10549, any Filipino citizen who is not yet a registered voter, who will be at least fifteen (15) years of age on May 11, 2020, and residing in the barangay for at least six (6) months on or before Election Day is eligible to register.

The poll body said registered voters as of the May 13, 2019 midterm elections need not apply.

“For purposes of the SK elections, those who will be at least fifteen (15) but not more than thirty (30) years of age on Election Day shall be included in the list of those who may vote for SK candidates,” the Comelec said.
