Two of the three lucky bettors who won the whopping jackpot of Mega Lotto 6/45 were from Metro Manila, while the other one was from Iloilo City.
This was disclosed by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Tuesday.
The Metro Manila bettors were from the cities of Navotas and Pasay.
The three tickets were purchased at outlets located in Sipac-Almacen, Navotas; Kalayaan Village, Pasay; and Jaro, Iloilo.
The three new millionaires got all the digits of this winning combination: 07 – 25 – 04 – 23 11 – 08.
PCSO said Mega Lotto 6/45 had a total jackpot of P8, 910, 000.
Because of the TRAIN Law, 20 percent tax will be deducted from the jackpot. The government will, therefore, get nearly P2 million or a sum of P1, 782, 000.
The three jackpot winners will then divide the remaining P7, 128, 000. Each of them will take home P2, 376, 000.
Meantime, 77 consolation prize winners will get P7, 620 each. They were a digit short from winning the jackpot.
To claim the jackpot, the bettors must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present two IDs so he/she could get a cheque.
PCSO General Manager Royina Garma urged the public to keep on patronizing the products of the agency, saying people in dire need of help will surely benefit from PCSO’s charity program.
