A 4.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Davao Oriental at 2:30 am Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and its epicenter traced 19 kilometers northeast of Cateel with a depth of 14 km.
Intensity 1 was felt in in Bislig City in Surigao del Sur.
No aftershocks and damage are expected from the tremor.
