A Baguio City councilor is pushing for an ordinance that will prohibit cutting into lines or queues in the city.

“Nakikita namin na hindi nasusunod ‘yung first come, first served basis. Ang nire-recommend natin dito kung puwede sanang first come, first served ‘yung line numbering,” Councilor Joel Alangsab said in a television interview.

(It is evident that the first come, first served basis policy is not being followed. We are recommending the said policy for line numbering.)

Should the ordinance be passed, a fine of P1,000, P2,000, P3,000 will be charged from violators on first, second, and third offenses, respectively.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Baguio also passed ordinances that prohibit its citizens from cursing in public places or the anti-profanity ordinance and using of gadgets when walking or crossing the streets or roads or the anti-distracted walking ordinance.
