SSS runs after erring employers in Batangas

BAUAN, Batangas— The Social Security System (SSS) issued show cause order to 11 establishments here for not registering their business and failing to remit the contributions of their employees.

SSS President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aurora Ignacio led Tuesday the inspection and posting of show cause order to the establishments.

Most of the owners of the establishments were not present, but they were ordered to report to SSS Batangas City Branch within 15 days.

Issued the orders were Potato Giant Bauan, BrandScope Fashion House Inc., 4J’s R, St. Anastacia Clinical Laboratory, 1168 General Merchandise, Kyongmin Silver Corp., Auto Sonix Watch Store, Andrea’s Balut Corner, Prestige Food Enterprise (Kerrimo), E-Life Hypermart all in Bauan town and M-4 Construction and Maintenance Service.

Ignacio said in a media inerview the campaign to go after erring employers has already prompted other establishments to register and remit employees’ contributions.

Ignacio said only 30 to 40 percent of the establishments in Bauan are registered with the SSS.
