The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has conducted another major personnel changes nationwide due to the recent splitting of the Quezon City and Makati regional offices, affecting 24 revenue district officers (RDO) and 10 chiefs of the Large Taxpayers Service (LTS), a specialized audit division based in the national office.
Among those given important districts in Metro Manila were RDOs Christine Cardona from Valenzuela City to North Quezon City, Vicente Gamad, Jr. from Cainta/Taytay to Pasig City, Rufo Ranario from Pasig City to Valenzuela City.
Helen Vista from Paco/Pandacan to Cainta/Taytay, Edralin Silario from chief of the LTS excise tax division to Paco/Pandacan, Jose Maria Hernandez from Quiapo/Sampaloc/Sta.Mesa to LTS excise tax, Jose Luna from head LTS Cebu to Quiapo/Sampaloc/Sta. Mesa.
Rebe Detablan from West Makati to Las Pinas, Emmanuel Ferrer from Bacoor City to West Makati, Danilo Lino from Bacolod City to Bacoor City, Shirley Calapatia from North Makati to Binondo, Federico Pelarca from Calamba City to North Makati and Rodel Buenaobra from Legaspi City to Calamba City.
The revamp followed the reshuffling two weeks ago of some 20 regional directors and assistant directors in Metro Manila and elsewhere to boost the chances of the agency of hitting its more than P2 trillion collection target for the year.
The BIR management has been periodically conducting personnel movement to further boost efforts of raising P2.3 trillion this year.
