Around 70,000 persons attended the Metro Manila Pride March 2019 in Marikina City on Saturday which had the theme #ResistTogether.
Among the “non-human” attendees, who showed solidarity with the members of the LGBT community, were the shelter dogs from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
PAWS officials offered free hugs from the dogs, most of whom were also offered for adoption.
Several celebrities were also spotted in the record-breaking demonstration.
Last year, Metro Manila Pride broke records as the oldest and biggest Pride march in Southeast Asia with an attendance of over 25,000.
