De La Salle University’s beloved cat, Archer passed away on Saturday morning, June 29.
The resident cat reportedly died of chronic kidney disease, liver problems and possible lymphoma.
“Archer earned his wings and crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. He will be missed,” said Carmel Puertollano in her post on the DLSU Pusa Facebook page.
Puertollano thanked everyone who supported and loved Archer.
“To this end, we would like to thank Ate Jenny for giving Archer the best life — cooking meals, administering medicines (even learning how to do subcutaneous treatment), bringing him to the vet for his regular check-ups, and loving him unconditionally, without counting the cost.” she said.
Puertollano also thanked the veterinarians who helped Archer until the very last moment.
Archer had been a source of joy for DLSU students over the years, especially when he ‘graduated’ March this year.
He was then transferred to the care of a family due to his medical condition.
DLSU gave him a ‘Graduation Ceremony’ and even a DLSU alumni card that made him famous on social media.
