The over P40 million jackpot of Lotto 6/42 was won by a lone bettor from Bulacan during Thursday night’s draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.
The winning combination was 19-31-28-20-16-03, which had a total jackpot of P44, 415, 837. 20.
PCSO said the lucky ticket was purchased at a Lotto outlet in Pulilan, Bulacan.
A total of 48 consolation prize winners, meanwhile, will get P 15, 800 each as they were able to get five digits of Lotto 6/42’s winning combination.
Because of the TRAIN Law, 20 percent tax will be automatically deducted from the whopping jackpot.
Therefore, the lone winner will be bringing home a total of P35, 532, 669. 76. The government will get nearly P9 million or P8, 883, 167. 44.
To claim the jackpot, the lucky bettor must go to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, and present two IDs.
Lawyer Marissa Medrano, PCSO spokesperson, urged the public to keep on patronizing the PCSO’s products, saying a large chunk of the agency’s revenue goes to charity.
