ILOILO CITY—A Monday fire has totally destroyed three houses while partially destroying another 2 houses in this city.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Edison Gimotea, the investigator of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP-Iloilo City), said that the fire that lasted more than an hour in Balantang village in Jaro district caused estimated damage of Php 200,000.
Gimotea told Manila Bulletin that no one was hurt in the incident.
Based on the initial investigation, BFP-Iloilo City is looking at faulty electrical wiring inside a computer shop inside the residence owned by Roberto Fostanilla.
At that time of the fire, there was no one inside the Fostanilla residence. That’s why it quickly spread to the neighboring house owned by Regine Sales.
“But that is not yet conclusive,” Gimotea added.
