The competition was held at Santa Anita Park, Arcadia, California, last Sunday, May 26.

Non-participant corgis and their owners were also allowed to watch the race.

Emmet, a corgi owned by Bradley Taylor and Jessica Wick, was hailed champion of 17-race event.

Corgi Nationals is a fundraising event by So Cal Corgi Nation, a group of Corgi enthusiasts, launched in 2018.

All the proceeds from the event was donated to Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue, a non-profit that “specializes in rescuing special needs corgis from California’s high kill shelters and those needing to be re-homed.”
