Man nabbed for molesting a woman onboard a tricycle

A man was arrested after inappropriately touching a woman while they were onboard a tricycle in Valenzuela City Friday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as Jomar Fresnido, 30, factory worker, and resident of Juan St., Ugong, Valenzuela. The victim was a certain Jeanevee Francisco Fantilanan.

The police report showed that Fantilanan boarded a passenger tricycle in front of the Vian Family Hospital along Que Grande Street, Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela at around 12:45 p.m. She sat behind the driver.

The suspect boarded not long after and sat beside the victim, and began to touch her legs while they were traversing the said street. This prompted her to scream to catch the attention of the driver.

The suspect fled on foot but a witness to the incident pacified him and turned him over to a police precinct.

Man injured after falling off a roof he was repairing 

A man was injured after falling from the roof of an industrial building he was repairing gave way in Valenzuela City Friday morning.

The police identified the injured as Remy Dellava, 55, construction worker, and resident of Libis Street, Canumay, Valenzuela.

The police report showed that a weak part of the roof in a building in Jacinto Street, Canumay West, Valenzuela gave way after Dellava, who was doing repairs, accidentally stepped on it.

This caused him to fall about 20 feet to the pavement below at around 11:20 a.m.

A witness then sought ambulance assistance from the village which led to the victim being rushed to the Valenzuela Medical Center.

Dellava was confined in the hospital to recover from his injuries, police said. (Dylan Afuang)

Man survives failed assassination attempt in Pasig

A man was left unscathed after a gun attack at his house in Pasig City Saturday morning when one of the men who suspected him as a police asset missed his shot.

Thirty-eight-year-old Ritchel Constantino alias “Kagawad” survived a shooting incident at his house along San Agustin Street in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 4:15 a.m.

Pasig City Police said Ton-Ton Pontino, 45; and his nephew Bali Pontino, 40, went to the house of Constantino and asked him if he is the alias “Kagawad” residing in the area.

Constantino momentarily left the suspect and went inside his house to call his wife. After turning his back, Ton-Ton shot Constantino once, but he missed, police said.

The suspects then fled the scene. Police conducted a hot pursuit operation but they were unable to locate them.

Constantino told the police that the duo has suspected him of being a police informant who reported their alleged illegal drug peddling activities.

Man arrested after using another person’s  Airbnb account to check in a condo unit in Mandaluyong

Police nabbed a man on Thursday for allegedly using someone’s Airbnb account without the latter’s permission to check in at a condominium unit in Mandaluyong City.

Police identified the suspect as Marx Aldrei Sinlao, 22, of Barangay Gen. T. De Leon in Valenzuela City.

Members of Mandaluyong City Police Intelligence and Special Operations Units nabbed Sinlao at a condominium unit in Pioneer Pointe, Barangay Buwayang Bato around 3:30 p.m.

Investigation showed that 24-year-old Jillian De Guzman filed a complaint against Sinlao for allegedly using his Airbnb account without his consent, and booked the condo unit where he was arrested.

Guzman told the police that the suspect stayed at the unit for several days where the bill had reached up to P192,000.

Airbnb is an application where travelers and other app users looking for short-term accommodation could book or rent apartments or houses online.

Sinlao was brought to Mandaluyong City Police headquarters where charges for violation of Republic Act 8484 or the Access Devices Regulation Act and Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act were prepared against him. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas)

Pastor allegedly involved in drug trade nabbed

A pastor who was allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade was arrested in a joint buy-bust of the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Quezon City on Friday night.

Police Lt. Col. Giovanni Caliao, chief of the Quezon City Police Station 7 (PS-7) identified the suspect as Jimmy Dela Torre, a 49-year-old religious preacher of a Christian church, and a resident of Barangay San Juan, Cainta, Rizal.

According to Caliao, several drug suspects they arrested in previous buy-bust operations pointed Dela Torre as their source of the illegal substance.

This prompted members of PS-7 Drug Enforcement Unit and operatives of PDEA-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) to conduct a drug sting against Dela Torre.

An undercover cop transacted with the suspect at Oxford Street near corner Aurora Boulevard in Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Cubao around 11:30 p.m. which resulted in his arrest.

Seized from Dela Torre were 10 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P5,000.00, and his black and white motorcycle which he used in the transaction.

The arrested suspect is now under police custody and was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Alexandria San Juan)

Man included in illegal drugs watchlist arrested in Pateros

A man under the illegal drugs watchlist was nabbed by anti-narcotics operatives during an anti-criminality operation in Pateros Friday evening.

The suspect was identified by police as Raymond Dollente, 47, a resident of E. Quiogue St., Brgy Aguho, Pateros.

Investigation showed that a buy-bust operation was conducted during Simultaneous Anti Crime law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) was launched by the Pateros police at Brgy Aguho, Pateros at about 7:25 in the evening.

Elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit, Pateros police under the supervision of Police Col. Segundo Lagundi, Jr. went to the area and successfully purchased shabu from Dollente which led to his arrest.

Police recovered from the suspect one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and the P200 marked money.

Dollente is currently detained at Pateros Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility. (Dhel Nazario)
