CAMP OLA, Albay – At least 100 grams of ‘shabu’ amounting to P680,000 was confiscated by joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bicol, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Legazpi City Police during a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bonot, Legazpi City, Friday afternoon.
PDEA Bicol regional director Christian Frivaldo said that the confiscation of illegal drugs has also resulted to the arrest of a big-time drug pusher, identified as Samuel Rivera y Macabuhay, alyas “Sam”, 32, and a resident of Ilawod, Daraga, Albay.
Frivaldo said that the suspect is now at the custody of PDEA Bicol while a case for violation of Section 5 Article II of Republic Act 9651 will be filed against him.
He also warned all individuals who still continue their involvement in the illegal drug trade that the authorities will never stop in curbing illegal drugs in the region.
