CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan –The provincial police chief credited the early and adequate security preparations for the peaceful midterm elections.
P/Col. Chito G. Besaluna lauded police personnel for upholding the integrity of the elections.
He said 1,805 police personnel beefed up by 207 soldiers were deployed for election duty in polling precincts and manned checkpoints.
Thirteen towns and one city in Bulacan were listed as election areas of concern, but there were no election-related
incidents reported in the province before, during and after the elections.
Bersaluna said the election period was not over and police will continue to conduct checkpoints throughout the province, secure vital installations and economic key points.
“Again, to the gallant men and women of Bulacan PPO, I commend you, for a job well done! Your selfless dedication to duty is indeed remarkable. To all our election partner agencies and supportive stakeholders, we take pride of working with you. And to the Bulakeños it is our honor to have served you well, the sacrifices of our troops gave you an election that is secure, peaceful and successful,” he said.
