The Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) said they have not found yet any discrepancies on the ongoing manual counting of votes in selected clustered precincts.
“Wala namang alarming na discrepancy,” said LENTE Executive Director Rona Caritos in an interview during the second day of the random manual audit (RMA).
Caritos said that their operation is faster as compared to yesterday.
“Day two, mas mabilis na kasi nakukuha na yung rhythm ng mga teachers–yung mga auditors natin, tapos hindi na rin nag set up. So, mas bumibilis na ngayon,” she said.
[Day two is quite faster because the teachers, our auditors, already got the rhythm (of the auditing), and we did not set up (the logistics needed).]
However, Caritos said that they did not meet their target of manually counting 60 ballot boxes yesterday.
“But hopefully, the pace picks up… kasi nga mahirap talaga eh (because it’s really hard),” she said.
Earlier, Caritos said that they are expecting to finish the RMA in two weeks time. To note, 715 clustered precincts were selected to undergo the RMA.
