Malacañang declares non-working day in Sual, 7 other places

Malacañang has declared eight special non-working days in several places to allow residents to celebrate their respective important occasions and milestones.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea has issued Proclamation No. 721 declaring May 20, Monday a special non-working day in Sual, Pangasinan to mark the celebration of its founding anniversary.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Sual be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the proclamation read.

In Proclamation No. 722, the Palace declared May 21, Tuesday, a special non-working day in Malabon City in celebration of its 420th anniversary.

A special holiday has also been declared in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental on May 22, Wednesday, in observance of its Lubi-Lubi festival based on Proclamation No. 723.

May 23, Thursday, will be a special non-working day in Calaca, Batangas, according to Proclamation No. 724. The holiday seeks to allow residents to celebrate the birth anniversary of General Eleuterio Marasigan, a patriot of the libertarian movement in Batangas, the proclamation read.

In observance of Macabebe Day, the Palace issued Proclamation No. 725 declaring June 3, Monday, a special non-working day in Macabebe, Pampanga.

The Palace also issued Proclamation No. 726 declaring special non-working day in Rizal province on June 11, Tuesday, to mark its 118th founding anniversary; Proclamation No. 727 on special holiday in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur on June 17, Monday, for its 71st founding anniversary; and Proclamation No. 728 on special holiday in Gingoog, Misamis Oriental on July 23, Tuesday for its Charter anniversary.
