The Supreme Court on Tuesday suspended work in all courts in Metro Manila and Central Luzon due to the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Monday afternoon.
The suspension will pave the way for the inspection of the safety and structural integrity of court houses, the Supreme Court Public Information office said.
For courts in other affected areas, the executive judge may exercise discretion.
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon Monday afternoon, killing at least 11 people and causing injury to several others, power outage, and the collapse of several buildings.
