At the Araneta Center Bus Station and the Araneta Center Bus Port, buses were already almost fully booked.

National Capital Region Police Office chief (NCRPO) P/Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said more policemen will be deployed to closely watch the bus terminals with the expected exodus of commuters to the provinces.

He placed the Metro Manila police force on red alert to avert any untoward incident as the number passengers in the bus terminals are expected to double in the next few days.

Eleazar, who made the rounds of the bus terminals in Cubao, said they wanted all bases to be covered as more policemen will also be stationed at the LRT and MRT stations, train stations, airports, and seaports.
