CEBU CITY—Packs of suspected shabu worth more than P3 million were seized from a house of a barangay councilor in Lawaan III, Talisay City southern Cebu.
The house of Bimbo Cabuenas Ramos was raided based on a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Leopoldo V. Cañete, of Regional Trial Court Branch 60 in Barili, Cebu.
Police said five large packs, believed to contain shabu worth P3.4 million, were recovered from the barangay councilman’s house.
Ramos denied owning the suspected packs of shabu, saying that he was not involved in illegal drugs.
But P/Capt. Alejandro Batobalonos, deputy chief of the Intelligence Branch of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, said that they were able to confirm the man’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade after a two-month surveillance.
