The National Parks Development Committee Tuesday announced the purchase of an E-cart to help senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs) to move around Luneta Park in their visits.
“This E-cart will enable those who may find difficulty walking to move around the park and thus make their visit more convenient and enjoyable,” NPDC executive director Penelope Belmonte said.
The E-cart will also provide assistance to park visitors who cannot walk and stroll around the 53-hectare park.
Meanwhile, NPDC deputy director Malou Reyes said the use of E-cart will be more cost-efficient because it is solar-powered.
A designated driver will operate the E-cart within Luneta Park to pick up and drop off passengers, or help them go around and enjoy all the free attractions all the way from the Quirino Grandstand to Taft Avenue in Manila.
