Comelec spokesman James Jimenez blasted a local candidate from Quezon City after finding the candidate’s tarpaulin posted beside his house’s gate.

The tarpaulin bears the name of Abe Abesamis, who is running for 1st District councilor of Quezon City.

“I wasn’t asked and I never gave consent for your propaganda material to be posted on my property. Take this down, buddy,” Jimenez said in a tweet.

“Putting campaign prop up on private property without consent? That’s a bad look,” he added.

The election official also called out Abesamis for having yet to submit links for his social media pages to the Comelec.

Earlier, the Comelec notified candidates that they are required to submit the URLs of their social media pages in preparation for the midterm polls.

Jimenez said in a previous interview with CNN Philippines that this will help them track online campaign expenses of each candidate.
