Malacanang has approved the appointment of 23 new judges to various courts in the country.
The list of new judges was released Friday (March 8) by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, who is also an Ex Officio member of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC).
The list was approved from the shortlist of applicants the JBC submitted to Malacanang.
The new magistrates have been designated to various metropolitan trial courts (MTC) in Luzon.
Among the list, there seven to Nueva Ecija and they are Judges Ninethz L.T.Balagtas-Alzate, Cheryl Gamalinda Encinares, Leah A. De Guzman, Theodorick K. Ayungo, Dante Gil D. Gumpal, Jennifer Grospe Apacible, and Nelson V. Largo.
There are seven magistrates placed in Pampanga, namely, Judges Cheryl Anna Tungpalan De Jesus, Persel G. Esman, Mischelle R. Maulion-Jocson, Marvic C. Alfonso, Maria Zenaida V. Ferrer-Alejandre, Robert Christopher F. Reyes, and Chona Guiao Pichay.
The list also includes five magistrates appointed to Bulacan and they are Judges Cherry Chiara L.Hernando, Bienvenido B. Almonte, Jr., Mary Kwen Cañete-Elefante, Edmond B. Lorenzo, and Ryan Philipp L. Bartolome.
The others in the list are newly appointed Zambales MTC Judge Denise Sagun and Bataan MTC Judges Ludovino Joseph Augusto L. Tobias, Jr., Juliet Sangalang Salaria, and Ana Florence Cuntapay Oamil.
