The suspects were identified as Abdullah  Tangote, 40; Salikaya Panday, 27; Pahiz Mando, 28 and Aner Adam, 41, all residents of Macaria Homes Subdivision, Brgy. Molino 2, Bacoor City, Cavite.

The four were arrested at a checkpoint along Lions Road corner Taft Avenue, Barangay 87, Zone 9, Pasay City. Police flagged down the suspects who were driving a black Mitsubishi Montero with conduction sticker B2 L622.

Authorities saw two pieces of caliber .45 pistols. They also recovered six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

One of the suspects then confided to the arresting officers that they left two more firearms located at Taft Ave. near Raymundo Street, Pasay City. There, they recovered a black sling bag containing two firearms, caliber .45 and caliber .9 mm pistol.

According to Southern Police District (SPD) Director, Chief Supt. Eliseo Cruz, the four are considered persons of interest in the killing of Sirajul Raju Islam in September last year.  Islam’s vehicle was peppered with bullets causing him to crash to the center island.

Cruz said that before dying, Islam told his wife that the only known person who would plot to kill him was the boss of the four suspects.

They will be facing charges of violation of RA 10591 in relation to RA 7166 or the Omnibus Election Code and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
