MALOLOS CITY –Work on the 400-hectare Bulacan Mega City in Pandi, Bocaue and Balagtas is expected to start next month.
Enrico A. Roque, the representative of Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado appointed for setting in motion preliminary negotiations for the project, said the plans include Philippine International Outlet Stores, a shopping mall, a techno hub, factory outlets, industrial factories, warehouse and call centers.
Roque said the Mega City project will provide thousands of jobs and at the same time bring additional revenues to the Bulacan government, particularly to the municipalities of Pandi, Bocaue and Balagtas.
He also said the Pandi Exit of the North Luzon Expressway is almost 90 percent complete. The exit is 900 meters from Pandi, 150 m. from Balagtas, 220 m. from Bocaue, 16 km from Angat, and 15 km from Bustos.
“On its expected groundbreaking next month, big companies will be there to support us including the Sta. Lucia Group of Companies, SM group of companies and St. Luke’s,” Roque said.
The multi-billion project is in cooperation with a group of investors from Hunan, China, who will invest R50 billion in the province. Hunan and Bulacan are sister provinces.
