LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A budget of P 21.7 billion has been proposed for infrastructure projects for the year 2020 for the four engineering districts offices in Quezon.
The budget figure was proposed during the budget partnership agreement and budget consultation here Tuesday.
The budget consultation was attended by district engineering offices officials, along with the local government units representatives of the 39 towns and two cities of Quezon, and the Bantay Lansangan, a civil society organization.
Quezon 4th District Engineering Office head Engr. Cely Flancia, the only district engineer attended the consultation, said that the proposed funds for infrastructure projects of every district engineering offices (DEO) with the total amount of P21.7 billion and for Quezon 1st DEO is P3.9B; Quezon 2nd DEO is P3.1 B; for Quezon 3rd DEO is P3.7B and Quezon 4th DEO is P11 billion.
Flancia said that of the four districts, the Quezon 4th has the biggest budget proposal because of many on-going multi-year projects, like by-pass roads, construction of missing link roads, and other to be completed mega projects in the main towns her district, and in Alabat, Quezon and Perez island towns.
Flancia, that the said budget proposal is subject for approval and if there is a possible subject for changes, maybe to increase or to decrease.
Comparatively, in 2018, there implemented the budget allocation for Quezon 1st DEO was P1.3B; Quezon 2bd DEO was P1.7B; Quezon 3rdDEO was P2.7B and Quezon 4th DEO was P4B. There is an almost 50 percent increase for the year 2020, Flancia said.
