The Commission on Elections National Plebiscite Board of Canvassers on Monday failed to make a proclamation of the results of the February 6 Bangsamoro Organic Law plebiscite.
This, after the NPBOC Tabulation and Audit groups were able toaudit only 20 percent of the Certificates of Canvass.
“Only 20% has been done. Since they were not yet through with their tabulation and audit,”Comelec Chairman Sheriff Abas announced.
“Meantime, our working groups will continue the tabulations and audit of the COC until 11 this evening,” he added.
Observers and parties were allowed to stay and observe the proceedings of the working group.
Abas said the NPBOC will resume their proceedings Tuesday, February 12 at 4 p.m.
Earlier in the day, the NPBOC canvassed a total of 8 COCs namely the Provincial COC from Lanao del Norte and one Municipal COC each from Aleosan, Carmen, Kabacan, Midsayap, Pigkawayan, Pikit, and Tulunan in North Cotabato.
