The Lost and Found Section of the Manila International Airport donated some 32 pieces of baby strollers, 98 pieces of walking canes, and 294 pieces of assorted umbrellas to charitable institutions.
MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal said that 16 of the baby strollers were given to the Santa Rita Orphanage located on Dr. A Santos Avenue, Sucat Paranaque City, and the remaining 16 to the Home for the Angels Child Caring Foundation in San Andres Bukid in Manila.
The 98 walking canes were donated to the Samahan ng Mga Senior Citizen in Barangay 201 in Pasay City, and the 294 umbrellas were donated for use by the students of Rivera Village Elementary School.
Under Memorandum Circular No. 07-m, S of 2010 (Guidelines and Procedures for Lost and Found Items) left items by international and domestic passengers will be turned over to the Lost and Found Section of the MIAA where owners can claim them.
If these are not claimed within a certain period, these will be donated by the MIAA to charitable institutions.
The Lost and Found Section of the MIAA receive items discovered within the airport’s premises, and presumably left behind by passengers.
