It’s not easy for many fathers to not be conscious of doing activities with their sons that are associated with girls.
But for Orjan Buroe, it’s better to be more open to any possibility especially if it makes your child very happy.
“For my son, Elsa is a hero, superheroes come in many forms and children do not yet distinguish between men, women, black and white. It’s very important for me to accept his world and be part of it.” Buroe said on his Twitter post.
Since the posting of the video of him and his son dressed in Elsa costumes, netizens have taken to branding him as “Dad of the Year”.
In the video Buroe and his 4-year-old son Dexter are seen dressed in gowns, made iconic by the character from the movie Frozen.
Buroe really lets go and has fun dancing to the popular theme music of the movie “Let it go”.
Because of their fun-filled performance the video has already garnered some 3.8 M views and more than 94,000 likes and has been retweeted more 20,000 times.
In the video Bureo says that: “It’s important to tell children that they can do whatever they want to do.”
In a world made even more judgmental as one can simply view a video and spew hateful comments and bash the person who uploaded it, Buroe sums up the shared experience with his son by saying that he wanted to join in on the fun because “it’s important to embarrass yourself and just let go.”
