LUCENA CITY, Quezon- An ex-convict and three other suspects, including two women, were caught by the anti-narcotics agents, Friday, in a hotel on Quezon Avenue extension here which they have been using as the venue for their drug transactions and pot sessions.
Supt. Reydante Ariza, chief of the Lucena City police, identified the arrested suspects as Dennis Ortega, 37, an ex-convict in a drug case; Jonathan De Chavez, 26; Hermagella Sarino, 31and Jancylou Amada, 27.
They were nabbed after a confidential agent, acting as a poseur buyer, checked in at the Pol Ocampo Hotel and saw Ortega and De Chavez selling shabu, while Sarino and Amada were sniffing the illegal drug at around 7:10 p.m.
Confiscated from them were shabu packed in small plastic sachets, marked money and paraphernalia.
The suspects are now detained at the city custodial facility and cases for Violation of Sec 5, 11, 15, and 26(b), Art. ll of R.A. 9165 against them are being prepared for filling before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
