The University of Santo Tomas (UST) student freshman who went missing in December has returned home a month after her “immersion” with farmers in Quezon Province last December.
“Nais naming magbigay liwanag na hindi nawawala si Rizza. Nakausap na ni Rizza ang kanyang mga magulang at sinabi nitong nasa maayos lang siyang kalagayan,” League of Filipino Students (LFS)-UST said in a statement released on Thursday.
“Nagkaroon lang ng usapin sa komunikasyon dahil mahirap ang signal sa lugar [in Quezon] sa province,” it added.
LFS also said that the “immersion” was part of the student organization’s orientation.
Roland Camingawa, Rizza Divine’s father, also confirmed to the Varsitarian, UST’s official student publication that his daughter has returned home on Wednesday night.
Roland sought help from a radio station on Tuesday after his daughter went missing. They last had contact with her on Christmas Eve.
