At least seven houses had been turned into ashes after a fire gutted in a two-storey residential and commercial building in Sampaloc, Manila late afternoon Monday.
The blaze, which started at 855 Maceda Street corner España, was raised to third alarm before it was put out at 6:50 p.m.
Twenty-eight individuals were left homeless; while the worth of damage was estimated at P100,000.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Manila.
