A Grade 9 English teacher from the Holy Redeemer School of Cabuyao in Banlic, Laguna went viral after she gifted her entire class with individual portraits she personally sketched for Christmas.
Roselyn Barcoma on Monday said on Facebook she started drawing last Dec. 1 and finished the last piece on Jan. 6 and titled it as “Project Descartes,” which was the section of her class.
“As a Christmas gift I wanted to give them something special, so they will be inspired to study harder,” Barcoma told Manila Bulletin in an online interview.
As seen from her post, the finished products were put on top of the students’ armchairs.
“Not an easy task, but I’m glad I made it,” Barcoma, who has been teaching for 16 years now, wrote.
The 35-year-old teacher said her students were speechless at first, then amazed, and eventually thanked her for the present.
As of writing, the said post gained 91 shares from her account.
