PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan – Gov. Abet S. Garcia ins considering the establishment of decent, low cost, high quality ‘Disiplina Village’ housing projects in key parts of the province.
Garcia, who recerntly met with Raul Mamac, head of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources office (PENRO), said that he is mulling to put up at least five Disiplina Villages in Mariveles town, the most populated town here and site of Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) and other towns needing housing units.
Under the scheme, Garcia said that the proposed Disiplina Village will be a complete community with health services, schools, markets, a sports complex, and is accessible to the town proper and work places.
“This is designed to help the poor and homeless people of Bataan particularly those working in FAB, fishermen and farmers,” Garcia told Mamac.
The governor also sought the help of Mamac in maintaining a clean environment particularly along the coastal areas.
Garcia’s initiative comes at a time when Bataan has becoming a highly-industrialized province with the expansion of a number of multinational companies in FAB as well as in Limay, Hermosa ecozone and other growth areas, generating thousands more employees.
